About Tippmann Arbor Works

For two decades, Tippmann Arbor Works has been the crew that Fort Wayne homeowners and property managers call when a tree needs to come down, a canopy needs shaping, or a storm leaves a mess in the yard. We started in 2006 with a simple idea: treat every property like it was our own, and do the job right the first time. That approach has kept us busy across Allen County and the surrounding northeast Indiana counties ever since.

We're a local tree service, plain and simple. Twenty years in the field, we've handled just about everything Indiana weather can throw at a tree—from routine trimming and stump grinding to full removals and the kind of storm damage cleanup that can't wait until morning. That experience shows up in the details: how we plan a removal near a house or power line, how we protect your lawn and landscaping while we work, and how we leave a site clean when we're done.

Why Fort Wayne Chooses Tippmann Arbor Works

The things that actually change how a job goes.

Nothing gets dropped on your house

The removals we get called for are the awkward ones — a dead limb over a bedroom, a leaning trunk between a fence and a power drop. Those trees come down in controlled sections, roped and lowered, not felled and hoped for.

We clean up before we leave

Chipping and hauling are part of the removal, not a line added at the end. The brush leaves with the crew and the ground gets raked, so what you look at afterwards is your yard rather than the job.

Storm calls answered the same day

Split trunks, blocked drives and limbs on a roof are handled as emergency work, separately from scheduled jobs. Call the number above and you will get a straight answer on when a crew can be there.

How it works

What happens from the first call to the finished job.

  1. Call or send a quote request

Call (260) 408-8733 or use the form. Tell us what the tree is doing and where it is.

  2. We come out and price it

We look at the tree and the site and give you a price before any work starts. The estimate is free.

  3. The work, done carefully

Trees near the house come down in controlled sections, roped and lowered, not felled and hoped for.

  4. Cleanup before we leave

Brush is chipped and hauled, the ground is raked, and what you look at afterwards is your yard.

Tree removal in Fort Wayne

Fort Wayne knows what losing trees looks like: the emerald ash borer wiped out most of the city's ash, and of the 18,000 ash trees that once shaded its sidewalks and parking lots, only about 1,300 were still alive by 2014. When a tree near your roof, fence or power drop has to come down, we take it down in controlled sections, roped and lowered rather than felled in one go. Chipping and hauling are part of the removal, not an extra line on the bill, and the stump can be ground out on the same visit.

Trimming and pruning, timed for Indiana trees

Good pruning is as much about when as how. Oaks are the clearest case: Purdue Extension puts Indiana's highest risk of oak wilt, a beetle-spread fungus that kills red oaks, from March 1 to the end of November, and recommends pruning oaks between December and February. So if you have oaks, winter is the time to book their trim. One thing to check first: the tree between the sidewalk and the street is usually the city's. Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation looks after about 50,000 of them.

Storm damage cleanup

Northeast Indiana gets real wind. In June 2022 a derecho sent a 98 mph gust across Fort Wayne International Airport, and storms like that leave split trunks across driveways and limbs on roofs all over Allen County. Storm damage is handled as emergency work, separately from scheduled jobs. Call (260) 408-8733 and you will get a straight answer on when a crew can be there.

Lot and land clearing

Clearing a lot in Indiana is not a matter of piling up brush and lighting it. The state prohibits open burning, and burning debris from land clearing needs written approval from IDEM first. We clear the trees, brush and undergrowth, grind the stumps, and chip and haul the debris away, so the ground is ready for whatever comes next.
